KIDS 4 KIDS

On a cold and frosty Wednesday night on the 16th of June all the year 5’s and 6’s from our school St Ignatius drove with our family’s to Manakau at the Telstra Clear Stadium. We sang with Suzanne Prentice. We sang about 20 songs. But there was other schools there, there was  11 schools including our school St Ignatius. It was so much fun and I was really excited about it.

We started the show at 7:30pm and it finished at 10:00pm. When the show had started the red curtains opened and you could see a huge crowd it was so hard to find your parents, but in the end I did find my Mum and Dad.Also the soloists were really good at singing they were great.

Suzanne Prentice was really good at singing as well, way better than the soloists of course. She has a really good sense of humor and she dressed up as a boy in  the song Hello Mother Hello Father and no children knew that she was going to do that, it was so hilarious. Also there were these people dressed up in costumes it was so funny and really cool it felt amazing to be in a performance like it. When all of the people were singing I felt great  it was so much fun and I felt really enthusiastic.

At the end the bright red curtains closed and everyone was screaming like they were on fire and the parents were clapping and waving at there children. Finally when the curtains were  closed the parents got out of their seats and rushed into the lobby and the children had to rush out of their seats row by row it was quite noisy because everyone was getting out of their seats and you weren’t allowed to stand up because it would be really confusing for the people looking after us. Our school had to to walk to a place so our parents could take us home but most people just ran there and it was really noisy but really fun.

And when you saw your Mum or your Dad or who ever was taking you home you could go but I think you had to tell the teacher before you left. But it did take quite a while for my Dad or my Mum to come, but finally they did and while we were walking out of the amazing stadium my Mum and Dad were really proud of my  brother and I  they were really amazed and also before the show my Mum said that she was really looking forward to the performance.
